    Rippaverse Wiki:Policies

    Wiki Policies

    Introduction[edit]

The following page details the policies of the Rippaverse Wiki which must be followed whilst on the site. Failure to follow any of these rules may result in disciplinary action being taken against your account, such as it being temporarily or permanently banned for editing or conversing on the wiki.

    Article Naming[edit]

All articles for characters, events, locations, objects, organizations, and teams should be named in accordance with the common canonical name of the subject. If a name is not provided, then the page may be titled based on a relevant descriptor, such as the profession of a character or the use of an object, and a conjecture template should be added to the top of the page. If two things happen to share the same name, then a distinction should be added in brackets to both page titles, such as the city each character resides in or their profession. Likewise, articles for crew members should be named in accordance with their preferred name and, if they have legally changed their name, their former name should only be mentioned once at the beginning of an article in brackets. Articles created for comic book issues should be titled using the name of the comic, rather than the story.

    Citations[edit]

All information given in the biography, equipment, history, powers and abilities, and notes sections, in the aliases, birthdates, death dates, height, and weight infobox parameters, and synopses for books and comic issues must be cited. The best source to use would be the comic issue in which something is stated, though official websites and social media posts from crew members may be cited if information is only revealed there. Wikipedia, other wikis, and other fan-made sites are not permitted as sources due to their unreliability.

    Discussions[edit]

Users may leave any numbers of comments on an article as long as it is relevant to the article itself. These comments and conversations must remain respectful and must not include personal attacks, death threats, or harassment against other people or groups of people. If you would like to discuss the wiki or its content in greater detail, you may also join our Discord and Guilded Servers.

    Images[edit]

File names used on article pages must be named in accordance with the subject of the image, and must have a number starting at 001 at the end. All files must be PNGs, should not include a watermark if possible, and should be uploaded with the appropriate licensing template and with the default upload summary filled out. Files which are exclusively used on user pages are permitted, as long as the number is not deemed excessive by an administrator, provided their titles include the username of the uploader and a number starting at 001 at the end.

    Notability[edit]

All books, crew members, and comics should be given their own article. Characters, events, locations, objects, organizations, and teams should be given their own article as long as they are named or are otherwise relevant to the plot of a given comic. Articles may be created for upcoming content, provided everything is accurately sourced, and an upcoming template is added to the top of the page.
